Christian Education

At Christ the Servant, we offer a nursery for children from birth to preschool during both our 8:00 and 10:45 am services.  Our child caregivers do more than just watch the children.  They hope to find small ways to show God's love for these little ones.  Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship!

Sunday School begins at 9:30 and ends at 10:30 from September through May.   Classes are offered for children preschool-aged through grade 7.

Highlights of our program include:

• A Secret Pal Program for children in grades 3 and 4
• Christmas Program in December at the 10:45 service followed by a Sweet Endings birthday party for Jesus.
• Each class collects their weekly offering for the project chosen for the year. In the past we have donated our offerings toward the needy, both locally and throughout the world. This year the Sunday School Children are donating their offering to Heifer International to purchase schools of fish that will help feed families in need.
• A dedicated teaching staff
• First Communion preparation for grade 5 during Lent
• Each child in grade 3 receives his or her own Bible
• "Little Ones Choir" for children preschool-aged through kindergarten
• "Children's Choir" for children grades 1 through 6
• "Youth Choir" for children grades 7 and up
• "Chime Choir" for all ages beginning in grade 6
• Week long summer Vacation Bible School, 9:00 am - noon

 

Gray Mare Preschool

Gray Mare Preschool offers classes for 3, 4, and 5 year old children, both morning and afternoon sessions, right here at Christ the Servant. Our philosophy is "Learning Through Play", with an emphasis on socialization, kindergarten readiness, and positive values. Get Involved

• Children's Choir - for grades 1-6.  We rehearse every Wednesday during the school year from 6 to 6:30 pm. Contact Jonel Snider.
• Vacation Bible School - Children ages 3 through 4th grade are invited to explore connections with God, family, friends, and others.  Enjoy five days of Bible stories, crafts, games and more!
• Chimes - Wednesdays from 5:45 to 6:30 during the school year. Contact Jennifer Hauser.
• Youth Choir - for youth in grades 7 and up..  We rehearse every Wednesday during the school year from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. Contact Jonel Snider.
• Guitar Club - Our Beginner Club is the first Sunday of each month and our Intermediate Club is the 3rd Sunday each month during the school year at noon.    Check the calendar for details. Contact Tim McNulty.
