Ministry to Children

Christian Education - General Information

At Christ The Servant, we offer nursery for children from birth to preschool.  During both our 8:15 and 10:45 services, our child caregivers do more than just watch the children.  They hope to find small ways to show God's love for these little ones.  Children are ALWAYS welcome in worship!

Sunday School begins at 9:30 and ends at 10:30.   Classes are offered for ages 3 through Grade 7.

Highlights of our program include:

  • A Secret Pal Program for children in Grades 3 and 4
  • Christmas Program one Sunday in December during the 10:45 service
  • Each class collects their weekly offering for the project chosen for the year. In the past we have used our offerings to purchase farm animals for needy families around the world through Heifer Project International. Last year we used our Sunday School offering to benefit the people of Reformation Lutheran Church on Milwaukee's north side. Reformation is our sister church. We will continue this program for the 2008-2009 program year.
  • Important Bible memory practice
  • A dedicated teaching staff!
  • First Communion Preparation for Grade 5 during Lent
  • Each child in Grade 3 receives his or her own Bible
  • "Little Ones Choir" for children Age 3 through Kindergarten
  • "Children's Choir" for children Grades 1 through 6
  • "Youth Choir" for children Grades 7 and up
  • "Chime Choir" for all ages beginning in Grade 6
  • Week long Summer Vacation Bible School

Children's Choir

If you are in Grades 1 - 6 - come join us!  We meet at 6:30 on Wed. nights and sing twice a month - once at early and once at late.  We have a great time - singing, learning and fun just being together!  And if you heard us any time last year --- we were spectacular!!!! 

Youth Choir for Grades 7 and up!

 If you are in grade 7 and up, please consider singing in the Youth Choir.  We  practice on Wed. from 7:00 - 7:30 and sing 2 times each month - once at early and once at late.  Rehearsals begin October 22 - when Marching Band is over.   

Gray Mare Preschool

Gray Mare Preschool is now enrolling children for the 2209 - 2010 preschool classes for 3, 4, and 5 year old children, both morning and afternoon sessions right here at Christ The Servant. Our philosophy is "Learning Through Play", with an emphasis on socialization, kindergarten readiness, and positive values.
